VISION, GOALS AND PURPOSE OF THE GREAT WOMEN PROJECT

The vision of the GREAT Women Project aims to support and promote the economic empowerment of women, especially those in microenterprises, by contributing to the creation of a gender-responsive enabling environment. 

The goals of the GREAT Women Project are to foster efficient, responsive, transparent, and accountable governance at all levels, and to support the development of sustainable SMEs that can create more, better and decent jobs for both men and women.

The purpose of the GREAT Women Project is to contribute to a gender-responsive enabling environment for the economic empowerment of women, particularly women in microenterprises.

Great Women Project (Training on Processing of Fermented Fish and Shrimps)

The Municipality's Great Women Project in partnership with the University of the Philippines Visayas College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences - Institute of Fish Processing Technology (CFOS-IFPT) conducted a training on the Processing of Fermented Fish and Shrimp on March 8-9, 2012. The training involved the Subana Women Group (wives of fisherfolks of Baybay Norte, Miagao), recipient of the CIDA-LGU GREAT Women Project in collaboration with LGU Miagao and UPV CFOS IFPT
