On February 2, 2026, former mayors of the town gathered to celebrate the blessing and inauguration of the new municipal building, a significant milestone for the Miagaowanons community.
The event featured the presence of former Mayor Erlinda Britanico, and Retired General Gerardo Flores, who led the unveiling of markers commemorating both the newly constructed municipal building and the recently renovated structure.
It is noteworthy that the original building, erected in 1985, was constructed during Mayor Britanicoβs administration, while the extensive renovations were completed under the leadership of the Flores administration. This occasion underscores the enduring commitment of past leaders to the townβs development and public service infrastructure.
They were warmly welcome by Mayor Richard Garin who vowed to realize their dreams for an even more progressive municipality of Miagaowanons.
