On February 8, 2026, the people of Miagao witnessed the glamour, grace, and beauty of the 2026 Queen of Miagao, Bernadette Libo-on Nave, alongside her consort Carl Edward Tan-Monteclaro, in a simple yet elegant ceremony held at the Miagao Peopleโs Center.
The event, honored by the presence of Governor Arthur Defensor, Jr., marked the first ceremony in the history of the newly established Miagao Peopleโs Center.
In his speech, Mayor Richard Garin drew a parallel to the Salakayan Festival, recalling how the ancestors of Miagaowanon fought for freedom, expressing their shared hope for Miagao to grow into a progressive municipality.
