On March 25, 2025, womenβs organizations across town came together to celebrate Womenβs Month by sharing inspiring success stories and discussing the life challenges that shaped them into empowered individuals, not only for their families but also for the broader community. The event highlighted the resilience, strength, and determination of women who have overcome obstacles to make significant contributions to society.
A total of 250 women participated, representing various groups including the barangay chairpersons of the Committee on Women and Family, Solo Parents, Kalipunan ng Liping Pilipina, Barangay Health Workers, Barangay Service Point Officers, Barangay Nutrition Scholars, and members of the Miagao OFW Family Circle. Each participant brought unique perspectives and experiences, enriching the collective celebration.
The event was spearheaded by the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office, which played a crucial role in organizing the program. Prominent speakers during the celebration included Emily N. Drilon, Lorelei P. Noblezada, Elizabeth P. Cabaya, Janice Irene T. Noble, and Rosemary F. Galvan.
