On January 17, 2026, members of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) from the first district selected Miagao as the site for Serbisyo Legal, a one-day event offering free legal services to local residents.
The program provided a range of assistance, including complimentary legal consultations, notarial services, and the drafting of legal documents, among other support.
In his remarks, Mayor Ruchard Garin praised the initiative, highlighting its collaboration with the Municipal Legal Office. He emphasized that the event helps alleviate the financial challenges often associated with accessing legal aid.
