To our dear graduates of 2026:
With utmost gladness, I share with you, graduates, together with your parents and educators, the joy Graduation Day brings, Verily, this day marks the culmination of years of hard work, determination, and perseverance. lt is another significant chapter in your youthful book of life: not an end by itself but a passage towards more challenges – challenges which will mold your character and take you to a future that is not to be feared, but to be embraced.
Indeed, life is full of opportunities. But may you early on realize that an opportunity often disguises itself as a problem. Some people shy away from problems, that they will miss that opportunity. I therefore encourage you when that opportunity knocks, open the door.
George Bernard Shaw, a Scottish playwright once said: “Life is not meant to be easy, my child; but take courage — it can be de lightful”. Take this nugget of wisdom by heart, dear graduates. Be courageous and live your life to the fullest, succeed in your endeavors and meet life’s challenges with resolve and determination. So, chart your destiny, pursue your dreams, with courage. May you be guided by discernment, may you be strong and fastidious in pursuing your dreams. Your future is bright, if you will it to be.
As your Mayor, l take personal pride in seeing the result of the collective effort of our local government to promote education. I have always believed that progress comes when government invests in its people, more especially in their education. With your continued support hope that this will be a legacy of my service to the people of Miagao.
