The people of Miagao, led by their local government unit under Mayor Richard Garin, personally delivered much-needed relief goods to affected communities in Cebu from November 19 to 21, 2025. This effort was part of the Tulong-Dunong Relief Operations and Benchmarking Activity.
A total of 300 relief food packs, containing canned goods, noodles, rice, and used clothing, were distributed to residents in Talisay City, the Municipality of Liloan, and Barangay T. Padilla in Cebu City.
These areas suffered extensive damage and significant loss of life when Typhoon Kalmaegi (locally known as Typhoon Tino) struck on November 2, bringing severe flooding and flash floods across the Visayas region. The disaster resulted in over 210 confirmed deaths and more than 100 people reported missing.

The relief operations were made possible not only by the local government but also through the generosity of Miagaowanons, who contributed used clothing and other essential items.
Recipients expressed profound gratitude and heartfelt appreciation toward the people of Miagao for their timely assistance and compassion during this challenging time.
