On February 2, 2026, the long-awaited blessing and inauguration of Miagaoβs new municipal building finally took place. This milestone marked the culmination of two years of construction efforts that began in 2023, made possible through the generous financial support of Congresswoman Doc Nanay Janette Garin.
The blessing ceremony attracted a distinguished assembly, including former Mayors Erlinda Britanico, Gerardo Flores, and Julieta Flores. Additionally, provincial officials, mayors from neighboring municipalities, representatives from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), and proud residents of Miagao gathered to celebrate this important accomplishment.
In his address, Mayor Richard Garin emphasized that the new municipal building represents more than just infrastructure; it embodies the communityβs pride and aspirations. He highlighted the building as a testament to collective progress and a foundation for future growth in Miagao.
