On May 25, 2026, the local government of Miagao took the lead in conducting an orientation for the upcoming interagency Exercise Plan for Inter-Agency Territorial Defense Operations, officially named Operation Pag-Ugyon. This exercise aims to enhance coordination and preparedness among various agencies in the event of a territorial defense scenario.
The Exercise Plan outlines the comprehensive strategy and detailed execution framework for the operations scheduled to take place on June 9-10, 2026, specifically in Barangays Bolho and Kirayan Tacas. These locations were selected due to their strategic importance and to simulate realistic scenarios that communities in these areas might face.
The simulation drill will feature a range of critical scenarios, including a missile attack exercise and the civilian spillover, designed to test response protocols, emergency management, and interagency collaboration under pressure.
Participating agencies in this coordinated effort will include the Miagao local government unit (LGU), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Philippine National Police (PNP), Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary (PCGA), Philippine Army (PA), and other key stakeholders. Together, these groups will work to strengthen their operational readiness and ensure the safety and security of the community during times of crisis.
