In an interview, PESO Manager John Nocal explained that the office is currently profiling OFWs to gather detailed information and contact numbers. These records are then submitted to the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) to ensure proper documentation and follow-up.
To date, 263 OFWs have been registered, and the government is committed to providing them with the necessary assistance and support.
Additionally, Nocal announced that an OWWA Welfare Officer will be available at the PESO office on March 6, 2026, during regular office hours to address the concerns of OFWs and their families. This initiative aims to facilitate direct communication and immediate response to urgent issues.
