Eleven high schools in town participated in the inaugural School-Based Rescue Olympics held on December 12, 2025. Organized by the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, this event sought to cultivate a spirit of volunteerism and strengthen the dedication of students in responding effectively to emergencies.
By engaging these young individuals in practical disaster preparedness activities, the Olympics aimed to enhance their readiness to protect themselves and their communities during calamities.
