Approximately 600 fruit-bearing trees were planted today, July 15, 2025, by ISAT U Miagao Campus, the members of the Liga ng mga Barangay, and various community associations. This tree-planting activity was part of the weeklong Farmers and Fisherfolks Week 2025 celebration. Participants from the barangays of Lumangan, Dawog, Bacolod, Valencia, Cubay, and Oyungan actively took part in the initiative.
The species planted include atis (sugar apple), langka (jackfruit), and cacao, chosen for their agricultural value and contribution to local sustainability efforts.
This effort aims to promote environmental stewardship while supporting farmers and fisherfolks in the region.
