On April 27, 2026, 1,169 drivers received a much-needed fuel subsidy amid the ongoing crisis in fuel prices that has been severely affecting their livelihoods.
This financial assistance was made possible through the efforts and facilitation of Congresswoman Janette Garin, along with Board Members Rice Jane Garin and Joan Germinanda.
In an interview with, Miagao TODA Federation President Eladio Cerenado thanked Congresswoman Garin and the Department of Social Welfare and Development for their commitment to supporting the drivers has provided a crucial relief during these challenging times.
Each driver was granted a subsidy of P5,000.00.
This support is expected to help the drivers continue their daily operations without being overwhelmed by the steep increase in expenses.
