Residents of Miagao can now buy rice at the price of P20 per kilogram through the โBenteng Bigas, Meron Na!” program, a joint effort by the local government, the National Food Authority, and the Department of Agriculture.
This initiative allows qualified individuals to purchase rice at the affordable rate of P20 per kilogram. It aims to support groups such as solo parents, Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), Barangay Nutrition Scholars and family of underweighted children.
Beneficiaries can buy up to ten (10) kilograms of NFA rice per purchase, except rice farmers, who are allowed to buy up to fifty (50) kilograms per month.
