Spaying and neutering programs are key strategies employed by both the Provincial Veterinary Office (PVO) and the Office of the Municipal Agriculturist to address the issues of stray dogs and rabies.
This was emphasized by Dr. Aron Roy Hisole, Veterinarian II of the PVO, during a recent interview at the event.
Dr. Sole explained that spaying and neutering not only reduce the animals’ urge to mate but also help modify their behavior, significantly decreasing their tendency to roam. By limiting these behaviors, the risk of disease transmission and nuisance caused by stray animals can be effectively minimized.
The event successfully provided spaying and neutering services to a total of 25 dogs and cats, marking an important step toward controlling the stray animal population and enhancing community safety
