The Responableng Gobyerno for Responsible Parenthood has taken its first concrete steps with the development of educational modules designed for the programβs implementation.
This progress was achieved during a collaborative meeting held on March 19-20, 2026 involving representatives from the Department of Education School Division Office of Iloilo, the Iloilo Science and Technology University- Miagao Campus community, and the local government unit of Miagao.
The event focused on addressing urgent educational challenges affecting students in Miagao.
In his address, Mayor Richard Garin emphasized that the program seeks to empower Miagaowanon parents, guiding them to become conscientious citizens both within Miagao and across the country. By fostering responsible parenting, the initiative aspires to strengthen family foundations and contribute to the communityβs overall well-being.
