On April 20, 2025, a total of 320 Miagaowanons were formally identified as beneficiaries of the Department of Labor and Employment’s (DOLE) Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program.
These individuals have been selected to participate in community-based work programs where they will render essential services for a duration of 10 days. In recognition of their efforts, each beneficiary will receive a daily compensation of P550, providing much-needed financial assistance while contributing to local development projects.
This initiative aims to support displaced and marginalized workers by offering them immediate employment opportunities and promoting community welfare.
In his message, Mayor Richard Garin thanked DOLE for their continued support and the program, which could greatly benefit the Miagaowanons, especially in these times when prices of commodities are increasing.
