A total of 250 Miagaowanons who benefited from the Department of Social Welfare and Developmentβs Lawa at Binhi Program received cash incentives worth P9,500 each.
These recipients come from the following barangays: Oya-oy, Igpandan, Calagtangan, Baraclayan, Caitib, and Alimodias.
The amount they received served as compensation for 20 days of work under the program.
The initiative aims to provide financial support to farmers and fisherfolk, focusing on improving water availability and strengthening food security in the community.
Among their tasks were building small farm reservoirs, repairing existing water harvesting structures, diversifying water supply sources, and carrying out other related activities.
