A total of 19 barangays, shortlisted as finalists in various categories of the Responsible Local Government for Barangays (RGLGB) awards, underwent another round of validation. This time, the process involved onsite visits to thoroughly revalidate the different modes of verification across the award categories.
From January 21 to 23, 2026, a team of validators representing various local government offices visited the barangays. Their task was to closely examine the implementation of multiple programs and ensure strict compliance with government guidelines and standards. This hands-on approach allowed the validators to gather firsthand information, observe actual practices, and verify documentation in real time.
This onsite validation is a crucial part of the RGLGB awards process, designed to uphold transparency and fairness in selecting the most effective and responsible barangays. The awards ceremony, where the winners will be formally recognized, is scheduled for February 4, 2026. This event highlights the dedication of barangays in delivering quality governance and community development.
