The Office of the Municipal Agriculturist has officially launched a mass dog vaccination program against rabies in the Municipality, with a ceremonial event held in Barangay Igpuro on February 10, 2025.
This initiative is part of the celebration for Anti-Rabies Month.
Rabies is a deadly viral infection that affects the central nervous system. It is crucial to vaccinate pets, as they can transmit the disease to humans through bites or scratches.
According to Mr. Albert Narte, the vaccination campaign aims to protect both animal and public health, ensuring a safer environment for all residents.
As such, he enjoined every pet owner to participate and bring their dogs to designated vaccination sites throughout the Municipality.
“By working together, we can effectively reduce the risk of rabies and foster a healthier community,” Mr. Narte said.
