Although moderate to heavy rains from Tropical Depression Opong have been affecting Western Visayas, the flood-prone areas in this part of Miagao, in Barangays Igtuba and Kirayan Sur, are no longer experiencing flooding.
This success is credited to the team from DPWH First Engineering District, who, at the request of Mayor Richard Garin, worked to ensure smooth water flow in these areas to prevent flooding.
