A total of 963 drivers and 200 bedridden individuals in town were recipients of Kindness Day during the celebration of Oca Garin Day on January 22, 2026.
The drivers were given three liters of gasoline, a long-sleeve shirt, and rice, while the bedridden received groceries worth P2,000.
In his message, Mayor Garin said this act is part of the LGU’s way of sharing kindness as it commemorates Oca Garin Day, following Provincial Ordinance 2022-265.
“Do not only repay kindness, pass it on is more than just a cliché for Miagao. It serves as a guiding principle for everyone to spread kindness not only on Oca Garin Day but every day,” said Mayor Garin.
