Residents of Barangay Ubos Ilawod and Baybay Norte can now rest assured that their homes and properties are safeguarded against damage and flooding, thanks to the river protection initiative led by Congresswoman Doc Nanay Janette Garin and Mayor Richard Garin.
As of 9:30 AM on September 26, 2025, footage captured the Tumagbok River’s elevated water levels, which had the potential to cause severe flooding in the area. However, the effective implementation of the River Protection Project prevented what could have been extensive water damage, ensuring community safety and resilience.
