The local government, led by Mayor Richard Garin, has commenced the partial release of financial assistance to the seven competing tribes in preparation for the upcoming Salakayan Tribes Competition on February 8, 2025.
During a meeting on January 27, 2025, Mayor Garin assessed each tribe’s readiness and outlined his expectations regarding their performances.
This year, seven schools have come together to represent distinct tribes in the competition, featuring a special guest performance by Tribu Tultugan of Maasin.
