The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), in partnership with the Office of Civil Defense, successfully conducted a comprehensive five-day training on the Integrated Planning for the Incident Command System (ICS) from September 29 to October 3, 2025. This important training aimed to enhance the disaster preparedness and response capabilities of local government officials and staff, ensuring a more coordinated and efficient management of incidents within the municipality.
Participants in the training included members of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC) as well as employees from various towns across the first district. Throughout the five days, attendees engaged in interactive sessions, practical exercises, and scenario-based simulations designed to deepen their understanding of the ICS framework and improve their skills in emergency planning and coordination.
The successful completion of this training marks a significant step forward in strengthening Miagaoβs resilience to disasters.
