The Municipality of Miagao recently received an important boost to its healthcare workforce, as the Provincial Health Office (PHO) assigned additional personnel to support the growing health needs of the community.
On August 27, 2025, a team of new health workers, including dentists, dental aide, midwife, and sanitary inspectors, were formally endorsed and welcomed to Miagao during a courtesy visit of John Mark B. Sibag AO IV -PHO, Daniella A. Burdeos HRMDO – PHO, Charles Emmanuel Aniceto Dental Aide – PHO, with the PHO detailed in Miagao, Dr. Wilfredo S. Nono Dentist II – PHO and Ma. Luisa Analina T. Kang Dental Aide – PHO This initiative is part of the provinceβs ongoing Health Workers Deployment and Augmentation Program, which aims to enhance medical services across Iloilo by strategically allocating skilled professionals to municipalities in need.
The additional personnel will play a crucial role in improving public health outcomes by providing vital dental care, maternal health services, and ensuring sanitary standards within the locality. These efforts align with Miagaoβs commitment to offering accessible and comprehensive healthcare to its residents.
The new health workers were officially received by OIC Mayor SB Gemmma Rei Nismal, who expressed gratitude for the support extended by the provincial government. This collaborative initiative underscores the joint dedication of local and provincial authorities to elevate the quality of healthcare and address the communityβs wellness priorities more effectively.
