On November 30, 2025, the Municipality Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC), led by Engr. Franco Carlo Monteclaro, participated in the 2025 Iloilo Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Operational Readiness and Simulation Exercises at the Iloilo Sports Complex.
Held under the theme “Strength in Preparation, United in MoRProGRes Action: Advancing DRRM Field Competence for Resilient Communities,” the event brought together dedicated responders committed to safeguarding and strengthening community resilience throughout the province.
The day’s program featured a series of rigorous activities that demonstrated the MDRRMC officers’ proficiency in essential rescue skills. These included Basic Life Support–Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (BLS–CPR), Search for Accident Victims (SFA), Knot-Tying Relays, Vehicular Accident Extrication, and an energized Tug of War. Each exercise was carefully crafted to assess teamwork, agility, and the capacity to react promptly and effectively during emergency situations.
