On May 1, 2026, the Office of the Municipal Civil Registrar warmly welcomed esteemed officials from the Philippine Statistics Authority: Claire Dennis S. Mapa, National Statistician and Civil Registrar General; Nelida C. Amolar, Regional Director of PSA Region VI; and Jerry L. Dolutan, Chief Statistical Specialist of the Iloilo Provincial Statistical Office.

Their visit was made even more special with a tour of the iconic Miagao Church, a treasured historical landmark and UNESCO World Heritage Site.

This memorable event showcased both Miagao’s rich cultural heritage and the essential role of civil registration in serving the community.
