On July 30, 2025, members of the Persons With Disability community in Miagao gathered to observe National Disability Rights Week, welcoming 150 registered participants from the nearby Poblacion area.
The event centered around the theme, “Innovation for Inclusion: Building an Inclusive Community Together.” Christine B. Roa, the keynote speaker, highlighted the significance of accessibility and the rights of persons with disabilities.
She stressed the importance of fostering a sustainable future where everyone is included.
The celebration showcased ongoing initiatives of the administration of Mayor Richard Garin that particularly aimed at ensuring equal opportunities and support for PWDs in Miagao.
