These dedicated young men and women, identified as members of the School Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) teams, have undergone comprehensive training in Basic First Aid provided by the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC). Equipped with essential skills and knowledge, they will serve as volunteers to bolster the response efforts during the upcoming two-day Municipal Meet scheduled for October 6-7, 2025.
Representing a total of eleven schools, these volunteers come from eight public high schools and three private high schools across the municipality. Their involvement not only reinforces the communityβs preparedness but also exemplifies the proactive role that youth play in disaster risk management and emergency response activities at the local level.
