Miagao officials join FCDSA Opening Program, support, and cheer for athletes and participants

Employees from the local government and academe and the members of the Sangguniang Kabataan took a break from their regular work to play for fun at the Laro ng Lahi.
The event aims to preserve the Filipino indigenous games such as sack race, Japanese ball, limbo rock, higot-higot and kadang-kadang.

Mayor Richard Garin highlighted the essence of sportsmanship in his message during the opening of the Mayor Oscar”Richard” Garin. Jr Salakayan Basketball League 2023 on January 22, 2023.
“Winning the game doesn’t only mean you are victorious and losing the game doesn’t mean you are defeated. Kun magdaug kamo, stay humble. Ikaw nga napierde, accept defeat kag magpasalamat kag maninguha naman para sa imo kadarag-an sa sunod,” said Mayor Garin.
The basketball league, organized by JMQ Stylez owner and proprietor Kent Fantonalgo is also their participation in the Oca Garin Day (Kindness Day). It will run through January 31, 2023.
Miagaowanons got the chance to play with National Master Fritz Bryan Porras in a Chess Simultaneous Exhibition earlier today at Sulu Garden, Miagao.
The event in partnership with the local government of Miagao and Sulu Garden Foundation was attended by Hon. Carmelo Nochete, Hon Aaron Noble, Hon. Chealsea Nagaynay and former SB member Renand John Fermindoza.
