With the full devolution of the provision of basic services and facilities as per Executive order 138 and Mandanas-Garcia Ruling, the Commission on Population and Development –Region VI are now reaching out to all local government units – including Miagao and offering their assistance in the formulation of policies and measures relative to the functions of their Office.

In his courtesy visit to Mayor Oscar “Richard” S. Garin, Jr PopCom Regional Director Harold Alfred Marshall offered their assistance for Miagao particularly in the formulation of policies and measures on population. For his part, Mayor Garin warmly welcomed the initiative as he endorsed the Memorandum of Understanding to the Sangguniang Bayan. The MOU will effect the collaboration of the PopCom and Miagao for the collaboration strategy of the Philippine Population and Development Program.
