MIAGAO, Iloilo – The Miagao Police Station and the Local Government Unit of Miagao done the inauguration and blessing of the newly completed Miagao Municipal Police Station Standard Type “B/C” PNP Building in Barangay Guibongan, this Municipality.
The ceremony was headed by Police Regional Office Vi Regional Director PBGen John Bulalacao and Hon. Macario N. Napulan, MD.
According to PBGen Bulalacao, the new 4.8 million building will “boost the morale of the local police” as he expressed full trust and confidence to the local PNP.
The construction of the new building was made possible with the assistance of the LGU that donated the lot for the structure. On top of it, the LGU through Mayor Napulan has been generous in extending assistance in all forms including gasoline expenses for the PNP. Meantime, the PNP has requested for the installation of their electricity and communication and office equipment among others which has yet to be considered in the next supplemental budget of the LGU.
“I am delighted by the project because we are so much in need of this. We have been diligent in following this up with the national office and we are glad with this development,” said Mayor Napulan.
Meantime, earlier plans bare that the old PNP site will house the Bahay Silangan – a shelter that will offer reformation program to reforming drug offenders into self-sufficient and law abiding members of the society, and other LGU offices. (ABMande)
