Blessings kept on pouring that nobody could even be happier and inspired than these beneficiaries of NTF- ELCAC projects from Barangays Wayang and Banbanan who received their farm inputs earlier today.
Barangay Wayang received the following:
-4 units Pump Engine
– 1 unit Hand Tractor with trailer
-1 unit walk behind transplanter
-1 unit four wheel drive tractor
-4 units Granular Applicator
50 units Knapsack sprayer
On the other hand, Barangay Banbanan received
-3 units Rice Thresher
– 3 units Rice Blower
-7 units Pump Engine
-55 units Knapsack sprayer
For his part, Mayor Macario N. Napulan thanked the DILG and other support agencies for clearing these three barangays – Banbanan, Wayang and San Jose and for extending these projects to Miagaowanons.
The NTF-ELCAC was created through Executive Order 70 signed by President Rodrigo Duterte in 2018 institutionalizing the whole-of-nation approach to address the local communist armed conflict. It is a convergence of various government agencies grouped into 12 clusters with their specific mandates.
The Department of the Interior and Local Government was the mandated agency to provide support fund for these projects. Each of the identified ELCAC barangays received a total of P20 million worth of projects. Some of the projects were already turned over to the barangays – Banbanan, Wayang and San Jose, in an ceremonial turn over on March 11, 2022.
